Chief Executive Officer
Pervez Qureshi is Saba’s CEO and a member of its Board of Directors. He joined Saba in 2016 after holding a series of executive positions in enterprise application software organizations.
Prior to Saba, Pervez was President and CEO of Epicor Software Corporation and a member of its board of directors. During his two and a half year tenure at Epicor, the company built and expanded its SaaS business, and successfully merged with Activant Solutions, doubling the size of the company to just under $900m.
Prior to Epicor, Pervez served as President and CEO of Activant Solutions Inc. (previously Triad Systems), and under his leadership, the company successfully executed a growth strategy that built key strategic relationships with partners, expanded into new vertical markets, acquired companies, and adopted several new operational processes including NPS, Scrum development and Lean Six Sigma.
Pervez has a long career in the high tech industry, and previous roles include management positions at Harvest Software, Metaphor Computer Systems, HP, and engineering positions at IBM.
Phil Saunders is the President of Saba Software and serves on the Board of Directors. He is responsible for all customer-facing facets of the company including sales, marketing, services and customer success efforts.
Before joining Saba, Phil was the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Gemalto’s Identity and Data Protection, where he built the company’s global go-to-market organization which included the eBanking and Identity sales organization, as well as the SafeNet platform.
Prior to his work at Gemalto, Phil spent nearly 20 years at SafeNet (which was acquired by Gemalto in 2015), starting as the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development in 1997 and ascending to Chief Revenue Officer and board member. His responsibilities included guiding SafeNet’s core functions of worldwide sales, business development, marketing, product management, customer service, operations and fulfillment.
Phil holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the State University of New York at Albany and a Master of Business Administration from the Seton Hall University W. Paul Stillman School of Business.
Chief Financial Officer
Edward Hayden leads Saba’s financial operations and accounting. His depth of strategic finance expertise includes software and SaaS revenue recognition, corporate strategy, financial modeling, and technical accounting.
His 20-year career includes finance leadership roles at leading technology businesses including McAfee, NetApp, Mercury Interactive, and as an audit manager and CPA with KPMG.
Edward holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from California State University, Northridge.
Chief Strategy Officer
As Chief Strategy Officer, John Hiraoka leads product strategy and corporate development at Saba. He is a recognized expert in enterprise application design, development, sales and marketing.
His 30 years’ experience also includes leadership roles in corporate development, organizational strategy and operational management at Epicor Software, Platinum Software, and DataWorks Corporation.
John majored in mathematics and computer science at the University of Washington.
Chief Customer Officer
Paige Newcombe is responsible for ensuring Saba customers receive an exceptional experience across all organizational interactions. As the customers’ advocate, she leads the development and execution of the company’s customer strategy in order to maximize customer acquisition, retention, and profitability. Her direct responsibilities include professional services, educational services, customer support, and client adoption and success.
Paige brings over 20 years of passion for and experience in ensure customer success. Prior to Saba, she held various executive and senior leadership roles at IBM, including Cloud Business Development, SaaS Client Success for IBM’s Industry Solutions group, and M&A activities and integration. Prior to IBM, she served as Senior Director, SaaS Client Success at Coremetrics where she created a customer experience model that led to industry peer and analyst recognition for best practices in driving client success. She has also held various leadership positions in consulting engagements focused on customer retention and growth for organizations such as Temple-Inland, Estee Lauder, and Sykes. Paige has an MBA from St. Edward’s University.
Executive Vice President of Products, Engineering and Cloud
Srinivasa Ogireddy leads Saba’s product strategy, global engineering and cloud operations organizations and is responsible for development and delivery of the highly innovative, scalable, and extensible Saba Cloud platform and applications that power the Saba Cloud. Srini brings 20 years of software development expertise focused on building distributed teams in high-growth environments for rapid delivery of robust applications built on high-performing cloud platforms.
Prior to Saba, in Srini’s role as vice president of product development and delivery at Coremetrics (an IBM Company), he designed and developed the data tier that maintained billions of real-time customer LIVE profiles and provided the technical foundation for big data analytics and digital marketing applications. Srini has also worked as a software architect at Engineers India Ltd. (EIL), a leading provider of engineering and related technical services for petroleum refineries and industrial projects. Srini earned a Bachelor of Engineering with honors in Mechanical Engineering from BITS, Pilani and a Masters in Computer Applications from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.
Vice President of Worldwide Marketing
Theresa Damato is the Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Saba, where she leads the global marketing team and directs brand, messaging, integrated marketing programs, product marketing, and demand creation strategies. Her organization is responsible for positioning Saba’s growth strategy, cultivating opportunities in new and existing customer markets, aligning marketing with revenue and sales growth strategies, and growing demand for Saba solutions globally.
As a veteran in technology marketing, Theresa brings a wealth of experience and passion for success across enterprise software and SaaS. Most recently, Theresa served as vice president of marketing at Trustwave, a global provider of managed security services and SaaS-based compliance solutions, where she was responsible for all aspects of Trustwave’s marketing strategy including branding, communications, product, partner, web and field marketing.
Theresa’s prior experience includes leadership positions in corporate marketing, product marketing, field marketing, and partner marketing for leading technology organizations including SafeNet, Inc., Aladdin Knowledge Systems, and Deutsche Telekom/T-Systems.
Theresa holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University.
Vice President, Worldwide New Business Sales
Terry is the Vice President, Worldwide New Business Sales for Saba. He is responsible for new business growth globally, as well as key new account development across enterprise and mid-market segments.
For more than 30 years, Terry has been building, motivating and growing world-class sales teams that overachieve their sales goals. With expertise in new business growth for SaaS, enterprise software and enterprise hardware, Terry has proven experience in driving global sales through both direct and indirect channels.
Prior to Saba, Terry was Vice President, Sales Americas for SafeNet/Gemalto, responsible for all sales and sales support across North and South America. Under Terry’s sales leadership, the company experienced double digit growth. During his tenure at SafeNet, Terry led the sales organization through the acquisition of five companies, established a successful go-to-market strategy for integrations and developed the Americas into the leading business unit for the organization.
Prior to SafeNet, Terry held sales leadership roles at CA, Citadel Security Software and Cognos. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from West Virginia University.
Vice President of Worldwide Sales Operations and Partner Alliances
Laurie Usewicz is the vice president of worldwide sales operations and partner alliances at Saba. She is responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization, managing support functions essential to sales force productivity.
She is also responsible for Saba’s partner alliance platform and program, driving the partner alliance sales efforts for all of Saba through VARs, integrators and strategic alliances globally.
Prior to joining Saba Laurie was the vice president of worldwide channels at Gemalto (formerly SafeNet), where she was responsible for driving the development of new programs and growth opportunities for SafeNet’s channel partners.
Before SafeNet, Laurie was the vice president of Americas channel sales at Blue Coat Systems. She was responsible for the development and execution of the Americas’ sales strategy and the channel partners. Prior to this, Laurie established a strong foundation of channel expertise through a 14-year career with Westcon. During her tenure with Westcon she held a variety of managerial roles, most recent being vice president of security products and licensing.
Laurie has been recognized by Everything Channel’s CRN Magazine as one of the Top 100 Women in the Channel annually from 2009 to 2014. She has also been recognized as CRN’s Channel Chief annually from 2009 to 2014.
Laurie holds a B.A. in Marketing from St. John’s University.
Vice President of Information Security
Jason Hoffman, recognized as an information security executive of the year, is Saba’s Vice President of Information Security.
He is a technology, security, and risk management leader with 25 years of expertize in large and complex healthcare, banking and high technology organizations including Marketo, HP (Autonomy), Verisign, Kaiser Permanente, and Wells Fargo Bank.
Jason is a noted industry speaker and founding member of a number of information security groups, and is a certified security expert with CISM, CISSP and CISA certifications. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Legal Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
