I do not hire, to fire. Do you? Do you go out and hire someone thinking, "Oh boy, I can't wait to fire this loser!" No! Of course, you don't. That would be insanity!
We hire people truly believing in all of our heart that they are going to be the best hire we've ever made and make us look like a rock star. Because we believe this, we tend to hang on to underperforming employees for too long.
