Improving employee engagement is no easy task. Organizations all over the world try tons of different things like offering free lunches, flexible working arrangements, BYOD programs and everything else under the sun to keep their employees happy. But all these efforts have a tendency to miss the point.
We need to do a better job of distinguishing perks from experiences. The employee experience is the real key to employee engagement. Perks are nice, but they should be thought of differently: as recruiting tools, ways to improve employer brand, and retention boosters. But they do not keep employees engaged with their work.
On April 19th, I'll be joining Jason Lauritsen as co-host of a webinar titled "Driving Employee Engagement through Employee Experience." We'll be discussing the keys to creating a great employee experience, how employee experience impacts employee engagement, how to measure your efforts (spoiler: it's not an annual survey) and most importantly, why it all matters.
You can register to reserve your spot here. I hope you'll join us on the webcast!
