In 2011, they decided to compete for their first federal contract for a national tobacco use prevention program, and won! The challenge, of course, was to create a national infrastructure and scale the organization to execute this new $152 million contract — and, importantly, to scale in a way that retained its rebellious and revolutionary culture.
