Saba Collaborates With HCM Leader to Develop Unified People Management Blueprint

Saba-Centra Global Summit 2007—San Francisco, Calif.—November 6, 2007—Saba Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:SABA), the premier people management software and services provider, today announced that it will work with IBM to develop and go-to-market with a unified people management blueprint. This offering will enable organizations to assess their current people management strategy, leverage a roadmap to move to a more integrated approach to talent management and adopt best practice methods and technology to support this model on an ongoing basis. The power of Saba’s unified people management platform combined with IBM’s industry-leading global services expertise will help customers achieve ROI through systems consolidation and a holistic approach to talent management.

“Organizations can no longer afford to take a siloed approach to people management,” said Bobby Yazdani, chairman and CEO for Saba. “In order to maintain competitiveness, reduce cost and increase productivity, organizations need to adopt a unified people management strategy. By working with IBM, our customers will benefit significantly from the breadth and depth of their global resources and tools to effectively implement a complete people management solution.”

Through this collaboration, IBM and Saba will develop a new model that incorporates IBM HCM workforce transformation methodology and Saba’s unified people management platform. This blueprint will provide organizations with a process to develop the business case for moving to a unified people management solution, a model for a cross-organizational people management strategy and a robust platform that supports the entire people management lifecycle. By taking a strategic approach, Saba and IBM’s combined offering will enable organizations to identify, develop and retain a high-potential talent pool that can support long-term growth as well as reduce costs through systems consolidation.

In recent discussions, Tim Ringo, Global Leader, Human Capital Management for IBM Global Business Services has indicated that companies face increasing competition in an ever expanding global world.  According to IBM, the need to identify, develop and align talent to business goals has never been more critical.  IBM views talent management as a strategic business initiative that will build competitive advantage for an organization. IBM’s Human Capital Management practice, in partnership with Saba, will be able to deliver a strategic, unified people management blueprint that will enable organizations to maximize the value of their workforce.
