| Acergy invests in Saba to Fuel Future Growth
UK-based Oil and Gas Engineering Company Attracts, Develops and Retains Key Talent Across Its Global Business With The Help of Saba
Redwood Shores, Calif. – February 7, 2007 — Saba (NASDAQ: SABA), the premier Human Capital Management (HCM) software and services provider, announced that Acergy, a seabed-to-surface engineering and construction contractor for the offshore oil and gas industry worldwide, is implementing the Saba Learning Suite as part of its global learning and development infrastructure. With aggressive growth objectives to meet, Saba also forms part of the overarching strategy to share inherent Acergy ‘know-how’ and attract new talent to the organization from alternative industries.
In December 2006, Acergy rolled out Saba Learning Suite 5.2 to the group’s UK and Norwegian onshore staff, around 1,500 of Acergy’s 7,000 employees, with the technology due to be expanded globally, both on and offshore, over the next twelve months.
With Acergy’s traditional talent pool outgrown through industry expansion - Acergy itself grew by 20% in 2006 with a similar expansion rate expected this year - one of the strategies Acergy adopted to attract and retain key talent was to cultivate a reputation for learning and development. This approach also broadens their appeal to potential employees from alternative industries. Acergy looked at a range of learning management solutions that could be used by all employees at every level and function, before selecting Saba.

Moving forward, Acergy will be looking to roll out Saba software, branded as ‘Acergy Learning’, to support its own ‘Acergy Academy’ solutions across the rest of its worldwide operations, including offshore locations that have very different working patterns and needs.
