U. S. Navy’s ‘Chief Learning Officer’ Honored with Learning 2005 Pioneer Award

Saba Customer Recognized for Trailblazing Training Initiatives

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., -- November 1, 2005 Saba (NASDAQ: SABA), a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions, today announced that Vice Admiral J. Kevin Moran, commander of the U.S. Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) was recognized yesterday with the Learning 2005 Pioneer Award for Innovation in training and learning at the first Learning 2005 Conference. The U.S. Navy, which is using Saba as part of its Integrated Learning Environment (ILE), was acknowledged for its “5 Vector Model” and rapid development process. The Learning 2005 Awards were presented at Elliott Masie’s Learning 2005 Conference in Orlando.

One of the largest learning organizations in the world, NETC provides its ILE to deliver and track training to all Navy personnel deployed around the globe via a single, web-based portal. Adoption of e-learning via the ILE has grown dramatically over the past two years. In 2003, NETC’s ILE facilitated over 250,000 e-learning enrollments. So far in 2005, the Navy ILE has supported more than 2.3 million e-learning enrollments.
