| Hyperion Enhances Access to Education for Customers, Partners and Employees with Saba
Learning Management Solution Enables Improved Service and Expanded Training Offerings for Leading Business Performance Management Company
REDWOOD SHORES, CALIF., Sept 19, 2005 —Saba (NASDAQ: SABA), a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions, today announced that Hyperion, the global leader in Business Performance Management software, has launched Saba Learning to its customers and partners in North America. Hyperion Education Services provides a broad range of training offerings to employees, customers, and channel partners worldwide, including classroom courses, web-based training, and blended learning solutions. Saba Learning, along with Saba’s e-commerce engine, Saba Learning Commerce, serves as the platform for Hyperion Education Services’ registration and delivery operations.
Prior to launching the Saba solution to customers and partners, Hyperion completed a successful rollout of the system to its global employees as part of a Lifetime Learning initiative introduced by Hyperion president and CEO, Godfrey Sullivan. Employees are encouraged to keep their skills up-to-date and directed to the internal MyLearning system, powered by Saba Learning, for training on Hyperion products and complementary technologies, as well as management, business practices, and professional skills.
By utilizing a centralized system for employee, partner and customer training offerings, Hyperion is able to streamline management of course information and make it easier for all constituents to access learning. For the customer and partner communities, Hyperion designed an online interface to match its corporate web site, reinforcing its corporate brand and values, as well as the importance of education as a key Hyperion offering.
Initial results have been very positive, with online orders accounting for 20% of all orders received since the system was launched. The system also has been integrated with Hyperion’s accounting and management dashboards, allowing executives to view, analyze, and act on key performance indicators in real time. “Saba Learning allows Hyperion to provide our customers and partners with a higher level of service and gives employees greater access to training and development opportunities,” said Sundar Nagarathnam, vice president of education services at Hyperion. “In addition to strengthening the value of our services, we also have gained a number of efficiencies through automation of order management and business processes.”
Today through Saba, Hyperion Education Services is reaching the company’s approximately 2,500 global employees in 20 countries as well as thousands of customers and partners throughout North America. In the next phase of its rollout, Hyperion intends to extend the reach of its education offerings available through Saba Learning to all customers and partners in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) and APAC (Asia Pacific).
