Saba Global Customer Advisory Board Elects New Members

Self-Governing Body of Saba Customers Also Appoints New Officers at June Meeting

REDWOOD SHORES, CALIF., July 13, 2005 — Saba (NASDAQ: SABA), a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions, today announced that its Global Customer Advisory Board (GCAB) elected new members and officers at its June meeting. Held in conjunction with Saba’s User Group Conference in Redwood City, California, the GCAB quarterly meeting on June 27 served to provide Saba with feedback on products, services and market direction as well as to conduct the annual GCAB elections.

Established with a charter in the summer of 2001, the GCAB has its roots in informal customer meetings that started in 1999. Today the GCAB is a self-governing body of Saba customers with the mission of collaborating with Saba on product and service direction. Members are selected on the basis of their potential to contribute advice and information to the board, as well as the ability of participants to represent the interests and ideas of a broad constituency of Saba customers. While the term of membership is not limited, GCAB members must participate in at least three of four quarterly meetings and actively contribute to the mission of advancing the state of technology-supported HCM.

Including board officers, GCAB membership is limited to 25 organizations. Saba sponsors and facilitates the GCAB as a non-voting member. At the June meeting, the GCAB increased membership to 21 organizations from 17; adding members from six nominated organizations, changing member representation from one organization and releasing two members. Additionally, the board elected a new Chairperson—Tammy Sharpless, senior manager of learning systems and data analysis for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu—and Vice Chairperson—Eric Carlson, manager of learning architecture for Sprint.

“I am pleased to be chairing the GCAB, especially at this point in Saba’s evolution from a learning to an HCM solution provider,” said Sharpless. “Saba is clearly interested in customer input, and the GCAB is an established customer body skilled at providing candid and constructive feedback on Saba’s products, services and process roadmaps.”

Current GCAB members include representatives from the following Saba customer organizations, including eight of the FORTUNE Global 500 companies: ADP, Alcatel, AstraZeneca, Caterpillar, CEMEX, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, EDS, EMC Corporation, Ford Motor Company, Kaiser Permanente, Medtronic, Novartis, Procter & Gamble, Royal Bank of Scotland, sanofi-aventis, Scotiabank, Sprint, Standard Chartered Bank, Union Bank of California, Symantec and W.W. Grainger.

“Saba is grateful to the GCAB for its commitment to advancing Saba’s HCM solutions,” said Dan Russi, vice president of global operations for Saba. “Since 2001, Saba has incorporated the strategic input provided by the GCAB into our product and services roadmaps and best practices.”
