Senior Vice President and General Manager, North America Sales
As Senior Vice President and General Manager, North America Sales, Don Bosworth is responsible for all business development and sales activities for large-enterprise, mid-market, and SMB in the United States and Canada. Don brings more than 30 years of enterprise technology sales leadership and a strong focus on customer satisfaction and has played various leadership roles at Saba for the last 11 years. His successful background in sales management, solution selling, and customer relationship management is a result of his experience in a variety of enterprise software markets, including CRM, ERP, and HCM.
Before joining Saba, Don served for more than four years as the Regional Vice President of Sales for Docent. Prior to Docent, Don held senior sales management positions at Vantive, PeopleSoft, Verity and Oracle. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and an MBA from the University of Illinois.
Vice President, People
Gina Cruse is responsible for all people (HR) functions at Saba. She works closely with the CEO and the executive staff to provide global strategic people direction and leadership to the company. This includes supporting and enabling the company's growth through talent acquisition, talent management and total rewards. As part of her responsibilities, she instills Saba's core values to support Saba's culture.
Gina has over 20 years’ experience in the high tech industry, driving business model transformations and building responsive HR teams connected with the business strategy. She has held senior-level positions in human resources at Cadence Design Systems, Business Objects, and Unisys Corporation.
Amar Dhaliwal has been with Saba since May 2005. He was a co-founder and CTO of THINQ, which was acquired by Saba in 2005. During his tenure at Saba, Amar has successfully led a number of functions including engineering, product strategy, cloud operations, professional services, and customer support.
As Saba’s Chief Evangelist, and leveraging nearly 20 years industry experience, Amar is globally responsible for brand, product, technology, and client evangelism. Customer meetings, analyst briefings, press interviews, and speaking engagements are all in a day’s work.
Prior to his career in talent management Amar worked for a number of global management consulting organizations advising customers on a variety of technology and business initiatives. He remains a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, and holds an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics.
President and CEO
Shawn Farshchi is the President and CEO of Saba. Prior to taking on the President and CEO position, Shawn was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), responsible for Saba's product management, product development, cloud operations, professional services, customer support, IT, and marketing.
Shawn brings over 30 years of experience leading, driving, and managing technological, organizational, and cultural change in highly dynamic business environments. In his role as Chief Operating Officer for Coremetrics (an IBM company), a market leader in digital marketing and web analytics delivered through a SaaS model, he managed a broad range of responsibilities including product development, service operations, professional services, technical training, and customer service.
Prior to Coremetrics, Shawn served as VP of Platform Engineering and Operations as well as the GM of Voice Applications for WebEx Communications Inc. In this role, he led the engineering and product development for the Voice, Video, and Data Switching Platform, and was responsible for all aspects of WebEx's audio conferencing solutions. Prior to WebEx, he was regional VP at Oracle, Senior VP of Development at Broadvision, and CIO at DHL Airways.
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Growth Markets
Olivier Ghezi is responsible for managing Saba’s Growth Markets region, which includes APAC, Japan, and LATAM. Olivier joined Saba in June 2000 and established Saba’s presence in South Europe. Olivier then served as Senior Vice President, EMEA, where he played an instrumental role in growing Saba’s revenue and market share through both direct and indirect channels across the region and established a proven track record of forging key international agreements with strategic partners and customers. Most recently, Olivier was responsible for the development and growth of Saba’s alliance strategy and Partner program, as well as overseeing strategic alliances and relationships to expand Saba’s footprint globally.
Prior to Saba, Olivier held senior sales and consulting management positions at BAAN France, and also served in positions of progressive responsibility at IBM France, Rank Xerox, and Atos. He holds an MBA from Schiller International University, Paris Campus, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Paris University.
Senior Vice President and General Manager, EMEA
Leo Hanna oversees Saba’s operations in the EMEA region, encompassing direct sales, indirect sales, and professional services and support to drive continued growth and operational excellence. Leo, who joined Saba in November 2012, brings more than 20 years of experience managing international sales organizations to Saba.
Prior to joining Saba, Leo served as Vice President for the EMEA Region at ATG/Oracle for their SaaS businesses, and has also served as UK Senior Director for Symantec.cloud (previously MessageLabs). Prior to this, he held leadership positions during a 14-year career at Microsoft Corporation within the UK, EMEA and APAC organizations.
Chief Marketing Officer
Emily He is responsible for the development and execution of the company’s go-to-market strategy as well as market awareness, demand generation, and field enablement programs on a global basis. Her direct responsibilities include product marketing, public relations, analyst relations, web marketing, demand generation programs, customer marketing, and partner marketing.
Emily brings 17 years of experience in customer relationship management, supply-chain management, and human capital management. Prior to Saba, she held corporate marketing and product marketing leadership positions at a number of leading public companies such as AT&T, Oracle Corporation, and Siebel Systems, and E2open. She holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Chief Evangelist, Growth Markets
Gaurav is a co-founder of Saba, and has been with the company since 1997. He led Saba’s R&D efforts for over a decade, and has held leadership roles in product strategy, customer care, professional services and cloud operations. He established Saba’s Indian R&D center in 1999, and as Managing Director, continues to provide oversight to both the technical and sales activities of this operation.
As Chief Evangelist, APJ, Gaurav brings to the table over 17 years of experience with creating and deploying cutting-edge learning technologies in Saba’s global customer base. He is responsible for deepening Saba’s commitment to key verticals globally, and for customer advocacy and thought leadership in the APJ region.
Gaurav holds BS and MS degrees in Computer Science from Stanford University. He also holds patents for a number of technologies developed at Saba.
Chief Customer Officer
Paige Newcombe is responsible for ensuring Saba customers receive an exceptional experience across all organizational interactions. As the customers’ advocate, she leads the development and execution of the company’s customer strategy in order to maximize customer acquisition, retention, and profitability. Her direct responsibilities include professional services, educational services, customer support, and client adoption and success.
Paige brings over 20 years of passion for and experience in ensure customer success. Prior to Saba, she held various executive and senior leadership roles at IBM, including Cloud Business Development, SaaS Client Success for IBM’s Industry Solutions group, and M&A activities and integration. Prior to IBM, she served as Senior Director, SaaS Client Success at Coremetrics where she created a customer experience model that led to industry peer and analyst recognition for best practices in driving client success. She has also held various leadership positions in consulting engagements focused on customer retention and growth for organizations such as Temple-Inland, Estee Lauder, and Sykes. Paige has an MBA from St. Edward’s University.
Chief Cloud Officer and Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations
Srinivasa Ogireddy leads Saba’s global engineering and operations organizations and is responsible for development and delivery of the highly innovative, scalable, and extensible Saba Cloud platform and applications that power the Saba Cloud. Srini brings 20 years of software development expertise focused on building distributed teams in high-growth environments for rapid delivery of robust applications built on high-performing cloud platforms.
Prior to Saba, in Srini’s role as vice president of product development and delivery at Coremetrics (an IBM Company), he designed and developed the data tier that maintained billions of real-time customer LIVE profiles and provided the technical foundation for big data analytics and digital marketing applications. Srini has also worked as a software architect at Engineers India Ltd. (EIL), a leading provider of engineering and related technical services for petroleum refineries and industrial projects. Srini earned a Bachelor of Engineering with honors in Mechanical Engineering from BITS, Pilani and a Masters in Computer Applications from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.
Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Products and Development
Hemanth Puttaswamy is responsible for all aspects of product strategy and application development from design to delivery of the Saba Cloud product line. Hemanth brings in nearly 20 years of industry experience with an ability to influence product, technology, and cultural change at Saba at an accelerated pace. He holds multiple patents with several more pending in various areas, including massive data analytics.
Prior to Saba, Hemanth was Vice President of Technology and Applications at Coremetrics, a digital marketing and web analytics SaaS company, acquired by IBM in 2010. He has also held various leadership positions at Sun Microsystems, Chordiant systems, and other Silicon Valley companies. He holds an MBA from College of Business, San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Mysore University in India.
Chief Financial Officer
Mark Robinson is Saba’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He is responsible for all aspects of the finance function including financial planning and reporting, accounting, tax, treasury and investor relations. Mark is a seasoned, broad based executive with deep technology, financial, and operational experience gathered over the past 25 years. He works closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and management to drive overall business direction and financial results.
Most recently Mark was Chief Financial Officer for Calypso Technology, a global software provider of integrated trading and cross-asset solutions, where he was instrumental in driving consistent year-over-year record top-and bottom-line results. Prior to Calypso Mark held a number of executive financial and operating positions with public and private companies including CFO of Discus Dental, CFO of Q Comm International, CFO and COO of Clickguard Corporation, and CFO and Co-President of Bluecurve Corporation. Earlier in his career, he held various financial roles with Hewlett Packard and Ford Aerospace and Communications Corporation.
Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Development
Peter Williams is responsible for leading Saba's efforts to capitalize on long-term growth opportunities, including merger and acquisition activities and strategic business and partnership development, as well as for all legal affairs of the company. He previously served as Saba's Chief Financial Officer from 2004 to 2007 and as General Counsel from 1999 to 2004. Since Saba's inception, Peter has also served as the company's Secretary.
Prior to joining Saba, Peter was a partner at Morrison & Foerster LLP, a leading international law firm. Peter has extensive experience representing high technology companies, as well as venture capital and investment banking firms. In addition to private and public financings and acquisitions, Williams also specialized in technology and content development, licensing, and distribution transactions, primarily for software and Internet companies.
Peter has a BA in economics and in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a JD from Santa Clara University.
